Ignite+ Commercialisation and Growth: empowering early-stage businesses
The Queensland Government recently celebrated the graduation of 47 businesses from Cohort 3 of the Ignite+ Commercialisation and Growth program. Designed for innovative, high-growth Queensland businesses with market-ready products, services or processes, this program provides tailored support to help businesses navigate the challenges of early commercialisation and achieve sustainable growth.
The Ignite+ Commercialisation and Growth program has already delivered impressive results for its participants, including:
- Acudocx: providing automated translation services, they have established a presence in the United States and are currently raising USD $1.5 million in funding, with several investors and partners already on board.
- AquaUbique: has installed five "water-from-air" machines at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) and provided one to Cherbourg’s daycare centre. AquaUbique has also received recognition through the King’s Trust Australia and Veolia’s Sustainability Awards.
- Hailo: an inclusive public transport solutions provider that has been selected as 1 of only 3 participants in the Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s prestigious Remarkable 2025 Accelerator program.
These are just a few examples of the many success stories that have emerged from the program. This Cohort saw many talented founders, from groundbreaking advancements in clean tech and transport to global expansions, prestigious awards, exciting new partnerships, and major contract successes.
The graduation event was a moment to reflect on the remarkable achievements of the 2025 Cohort and thank them for their dedication, innovation, and for making the most of this program. The hard work and achievements of this talented group are paving the way for a brighter, more sustainable future.
This is not the end of the journey—participants will continue to receive support as they pursue their pathways to global success.

Ignite+ Scale: accelerating high-growth enterprises
The Queensland Government also celebrated the Ignite+ Scale showcase and graduation for 29 high-growth businesses that completed Cohort 1 of the program.
Over the past eight months, these outstanding founders and their leadership teams have been part of the Ignite+ Scale program, receiving tailored, advanced scale-up support to supercharge their ventures with support.
In just a short time, they have achieved milestones such as accelerating global expansion, securing significant capital investments, signing new customers, winning awards, increasing staff, and achieving revenue growth of up to five-fold! With their inspiring future plans, the sky is truly the limit.
As part of the program, founders benefited from the collaboration and support of the program partners: QIC Ventures, Trade and Investment Queensland, and Deloitte experts that delivered over 260 hours of bespoke coaching and mentoring to the group.
Many innovative organisations were involved in the success of this program, with significant achievements from:
- Susan Toft from The Laundry Lady: accelerated her expansion plans by six months and is now launching into Canada.
- Tony Chan from Wagepay: fast-tracked international expansion plans, gaining the confidence to move quickly and decisively.
- Bitpool: achieved a fivefold revenue increase by transforming their go-to-market strategy after a breakthrough moment during the UpScale Intensive Lab in February.
